Replacement suitability: The BSW9812 is offered as a compatible replacement / equivalent position-indicating light for Palfinger RSQ 450 A / RSQ 450 G rescue boats (electrical diagram ref. 3FP-100188). It meets the same SOLAS / LSA Code (MSC.48(66), Ch. IV) position-indicating light performance — luminous intensity ≥4.3 cd in all directions of the upper hemisphere, flash rate 50–70 flashes/min — type-tested per Res. MSC.81(70), and class approved by ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, GL, LR, KR, NK, RINA and RS.

One difference from the original unit: the original is a self-contained battery light with pull-pin activation, while the BSW9812 runs on 12V DC (13W) from the boat’s supply — installation is a connection to the rescue boat’s 12V DC system.
